As we seek spiritual growth, we should pray to God and ask for wisdom concerning the areas He desires us to grow in. Spiritual growth is a lifelong process that depends on our study and application of God’s Word (2 Timothy 3:16-17) and our walk in the Spirit (Galatians 5:16-26). Now, you bring in diligence so that you may grow. The idea is, God has given you His life and all of His promises. The word applying occurs only here in the New Testament and means, to bring in besides. Peter says (1:5), Applying all diligence. ![]() ![]() Growing spiritually requires growing in prayer, worship, and knowledge of the Bible. To grow in godliness, you must apply all diligence. When I became a man, I gave up childish ways. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another and all the more as you see the Day approaching (Hebrews 10:24-25).
